DDR has an excellent mix of high end and big-box stores in their malls. Go to their website and look at the malls/properties. Examine the malls near you that you would know. Now ask yourself if these malls are crowded during the next month. If yes...you have your answer about whether to invest in DDR. As for me and my area, the local malls have Whole Foods, various vendor outlets, Target, TJ Maxx and others. They are PACKED! This is going to be a much stronger retail Christmas season for all, given economic stats. And DDR will benefit handsomely. Back to the teens in Q1 2018.

Dividend getting reduced after Spin off of Puerto Rico...(10 cents a share going forward)
i
surprised that no one is posting.
M
Current management has led stock price lower by more than 50%(post split) and runs a company in Cleveland from New York by never showing up to Cleveland. The big ideas are too spin off low growth assets and change the name. Window dressing and more dressing.
N
only one thing to do next..."when in danger or in doubt, run in circles scream and shout".
S
Republican tax bill will become law today. Provisions for Real Estate holding firms are very positive (no surprise, since Trump is in this business). Expect additional revenue to DDR bottom line as a result of lower taxes.
P
Are they cutting dividend after they spin Rico properties?
d
Be ready, new uptrend is ready to start. DIPS look MACD not only price.
about the stock split.... 1-2 is it the price going to be cut in half?
N
Got some more at $7.55. Beat myself by a nickel.
Y
DDR-PJ reached a new All Time Low at 23.10
D
Book value almost below 1 with an industry average of 3.6. RSI closing in on financial crisis lows. This is about as oversold a stock can be. Buy buy buy
N
In at $7.60...gotcha beat by a nickel.
D
Solid earnings despite Puerto Rico. I hope this reassured some of you. Steady climb back to $9-10. Good luck!

After reading the DDR investor presentation, they indicate after the spinoff of Puerto Rico they plan on reducing the divvy to .10 per share. That's a steep cut and not sure why its not being talked about
r
How will the spin off be treated in terms of tax - I understand it's a taxable pro-rata distribution. What's that mean.
do you owe taxes on the value of the new company? Assume some of the properties spun off were purchased higher than the fair value being spun off - is that mean return of capital?
