I am concerned that the government will take this new variant as a chance to put tighter restrictions and harm the economy more. the variant is mild and shouldn't even be newsworthy.

given the drilling needed to support oil demand this stock should rock.

Overreaction! Shale E&P budgets were structured for maintaining volumes this year. If oil and gas prices hold into 2022, the sand volumes will go up. My concern is with ISPs, I’m hearing unlimited pricing increases because of sole source contracts. SLCA push these customers to hard, and they will find other sources for the products.

Admittedly disappointing. Still holding for 2022 as Industrial margins will clearly be way better as the poorer near-term results simply due to timing as SLCA price incrases lag immediately rising costs. Oh well. Debated selling to focus on my other more favorite energy names (APA, CRC, PDS, PTEN) but figure will hold to maintain more diversification and have some sand exposure.

Long time share holder, not worried at all. I can easily see $15-20 SP in YR2022 and $25+ in YR2023. Patience will pay off 💰💰💰

Brilliant! SLCA's industrial business is probably worth at least 12X EBITDA if not even 15X 2022 expectations. This is a high quality business with now proprietary growth products. I would just as happy with a spin-out as I think a great business to own. But I think there would be a lot of buyer interest because of the more stable cash flow profile and low interest rates. This news will also likely result in "net" short covering (which granted is just a short-term blip), but nice to see nonetheless as not too many shorts want to be around if SLCA sells at big price. SLCA still has a lot of debt and so shorters betting on equity issue or just not good enough earnings. But ISP can take-on a huge amount of debt given its stable cash flows. So thinking why sell when SLCA can create its own highly levered vehicle for existing shareholders to enjoy to own.

Q3 should be fine, break even results or better. Look for a drift up in SP in next 10 days. High NG and ol prices may lead to an optimistic CC for Q4. I"m hoping for 20 by EOY.

Should be another great quarter because of just oil drilling increase from last year. Increase of 240 from this time last year according to oil services Baker Hughes.

I am thinking of starting a position here. I like the possible spin off or sale of the ISP segment. I am hesitant, due to the recent S3 filing that would result in dilution if there is an offering.

Anyone long here could help? Why would they need to sell shares if they could completely deleverage from proceeds of disposition of ISP segment?

Looks like a strong play but I can’t get beyond the S3 filing from July

Come on, with these gas prices SLCA should have been at 12$. End of this month a positive earnings comm for sure. After winter, it will benefit from infrastructure works materials demand.

I certainly hope SLCA quickly does a spin-off as the two entities clearly worth more than as one company.

This stock sits between an energy play as well as basic materials. With WTI over $75 and a $3.5 T infrastructure bull coming….how / why are we not absolutely melting up?!?
