I used to own SNH and periodically come back to see if I can pick them up cheap. It is not cheap and will move on to safer investments. Have learned over time that corrupt management never changes, including SNH poorly disguised management changes. I noticed in the SNH quarterly financials that that SNH paid $10 million in incentive fees when the most important comparable were getting worse (FFO per share). Here is a better Medical REIT paying a comparable dividend and has improving business and honest and competent management - MPW.
hmmmm.....the PE is very rich. I just read an article which led me here. This looks like a fantastic investment but in a rising rate period I have to pass on buying unless someone here can explain why the PE is in the upper 30s? That is very rich....

ty SNH for my quarterly divd; its lovely
I am going to get you all jealous, my current dividend yield on cost is 11%, and I spend no time worry about my snh shares:)
This thing keeps dropping like an anvil. I'm getting out while I can. I might go back in around 16. You've been warned
Another big divy coming.
anybody home? so what's the story with this stock? people don't like the 8 percent yield? what's not to like? too much debt? if this is a reit, are the dividends considered qualified dividends for tax purposes or not?
If you need any further evidence that the stock market is crooked, just look at snh , hcn, hcp,.ltc, ohi, vtr, etc.....all getting clobbered at the same time.
the divd on this stock is crazy. put it away and forget about it
this stock cannot hold any gains; big boys trade and dump , trade and dump, etc etc
stop with the ads camoflauged as legitimate comments on a stock; you are on many boards with the same bs
market clearly did not like what it heard in the company news conference
It is clear from the current neutral eps estimate for next quarter of 0.15 that SNH could yield both a pullback or an uptick. The scenarios are quite interesting at current levels. Do you guys find it difficult to know when to buy or sell something? I prefer to get my stocks from awesomesto-cks.
they went ex dividend today
I agree with Donald. They have some 90 percent private pay, which makes them unique although I think HCN has gone that route. No problem waiting for reimbursements from the guvment!!
charly, arent you glad you sold
we should be over 25.00 this is a good buy. you can*t beat rent money.
