Under pressure today despite VIX drop, means strong shorting activity. Good news for the bulls in the coming days.

Looking at the average VIX value, it may not come down tomorrow or the next day but it should come down back to a levelled off area, I think within the next few weeks we should see SVXY hit 53-54 and that’s my sell target, I bought in yesterday at 47.50 :) what do others think?

only thing about this I don't understand was the 2017-2018 range on the chart. did the vix keep tanking during this time and stay low so the price of this kept rising? not talking about the price per share but the large long curve up during that time. can anybody explain this why the big uptrend during this time period?

Help me out here. We closed at $72 today, yet my Scottrade account says we closed at $37.50. Scottrade says last price $37.50, yet all other closings on other trade sites say $72. OK so that one confusing question.

And if in fact we did close at $72 - why the huge sell off in after hours? I don't see up opening under $65, but sure is odd with Scottrade close action and not after hour meltdown. Nothing falls this fast - for now reason.

    SVXY prospectus

ProShares Short VIX Short-Term Futures ETF seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to the inverse (-1x) of the daily performance of the S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures Index.

SVXY provides short exposure to the S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures Index, which measures the returns of a portfolio of monthly VIX futures contracts with a weighted average of one month to expiration.

Designed for knowledgeable investors who seek to profit from decreases in the expected volatility of the S&P 500 as measured by the prices of VIX futures contracts.
Intended for short-term use; investors should actively manage and monitor their investments, as frequently as daily.
Does not track the performance of the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) and can be expected to perform very differently from the VIX.

This fund is not an investment company regulated under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and is not afforded its protections. Please read the prospectus carefully before investing.

This Short ProShares ETF seeks a return that is -1x the return of an index or other benchmark (target) for a single day, as measured from one NAV calculation to the next.

Let me repeat the last line "This Short ProShares ETF seeks a return that is -1x the return of an index or other benchmark (target) for a single day, as measured from one NAV calculation to the next."

Have you guys noticed the NAV reference? The closing price is ot the NAV value. You get NAV value by typing ^SVXY in yahoo

If you purchased this security on 2/5/2018, and were adversely affected. Call the SEC Department of Investigations and create a case. I purchased SVXY 10 minutes before the close of the market, only to find out that within the few hours after the close 80% of the value was wiped out. To me this seems like there may have been collusion, and potentially parties manipulating the value of the security only to be "made public" after the close.

    Phone number is : 202-551-6061
    Security Manager: Proshares
Address: 7501 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814

This should take you about 30 minutes, you will get a case number. My expectation is that an investigation is performed to determine if there was any manipulation or collusion with SVXY between the normal trading hours and after hours.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

So how many here have contacted the SEC or joining class action lawsuits over (night time crash) of SVXY?

Breaking News - ProShare Advisors Statement on ProShares Short VIX Short-Term Futures ETF doesn't fly with investment bankers nor legal experts. Sure looks like "court" time is coming sooner versus later in massive Class Action Lawsuits.
