A federal court judge has convicted two former executives of Swisher Hygiene on charges relating to a securities-fraud scheme from 2011. According to the U.S. Attorney's office in the Western District of North Carolina, Michael Kipp, of Charlotte, and Joanne Viard, of Indian Trail, were found guilty this week of conspiring to commit securities fraud, making false and misleading statements to auditors and falsifying the books and records of the once publicly traded, locally based hygiene and sanitation products company. Kipp also was convicted of wire fraud, securities fraud and bank fraud.
