Morgan Stanley, Sprint, AT&T, Activision Blizzard, Tesla and Coca-Cola are the companies to watch.
WarnerMedia's efforts to maximize its content value may minimize its streaming revenue.
DISH earnings call for the period ending December 31, 2018.
The good news is that AT&T's laggard status could finally be about to change. At a glance, the sideways grind in AT&T has been hard to miss. Since late October, shares of AT&T have been forming an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern, a bullish reversal setup with a silly name but meaningful trading implications.
Sling TV's growth has slowed dramatically as the competitive landscape for live TV streaming services has heated up. Despite this, the Dish -owned streaming service remains ahead of rivals in terms of subscriber count -- largely due to it being first to market with streaming TV. Dish said today it closed out the year with 2.417 million Sling TV subscribers.
Democratic lawmakers are challenging a pledge by T-Mobile and Sprint not to raise prices or hurt competition if their $26.5 billion merger goes through. The deal would combine the nation's third- and fourth-largest wireless companies and create a behemoth roughly the size of industry giants Verizon and AT&T. The House Energy and Commerce Committee doesn't have authority to rule on the merger, but members are able to use the forum to ask pointed questions. T-Mobile says it won't raise prices for three years, but Pallone says he's not sure that Trump administration regulators are willing to hold T-Mobile to that promise.
Streaming TV services are increasingly more appealing than traditional TV.
A group of eight Democratic U.S. senators and independent Senator Bernie Sanders urged the Justice Department and Federal Communications Commission on Tuesday to reject a proposed $26 billion merger of T-Mobile US Inc and Sprint Corp. The merger is "likely to raise prices for consumers, harm workers, stifle competition, exacerbate the digital divide, and undermine innovation," they wrote in separate letters to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai and Makan Delrahim, the Justice Department's top antitrust official. The signatories included potential or confirmed presidential candidates Sanders, Amy Klobuchar, Sherrod Brown, Kirsten Gillibrand, Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker.
Just because AT&T is standing firm on its faux 5G marketing doesn't mean it's ignoring its real 5G deployment. In fact, it's stepping things up -- the carrier has announced that next-gen wireless service will come to Chicago and Minneapolis sometime in 2019. Two cities might not sound like much, but that's adding to the seven cities announced so far and potentially provides 5G speeds to millions more people before the year is over.

AT&T is continuing the trickle of information about its upcoming WarnerMedia streaming service , and this time it's more specific about the kind of content you'll get. TBS and TNT President Kevin Reilly told guests at a Television Critics Association event that the beta version of the service launching in 2019 won't have originals -- you'll have to wait until 2020 for that. It would, however, offer some of its most coveted shows. Reilly said you could expect the company to ultimately host its "crown jewels," and might even yank must-have shows like Friends away from Netflix -- it's "not a good model" to share productions like that, he said.
The new mega-media conglomerate could be a cheap dividend stock value investors are looking for.
These two dividend stocks are worth adding to your portfolio -- one for its huge yield and one for its strong payout growth prospects.
Conventional wisdom says that insiders and 10 percent owners really only buy shares of a company for one reason -- they believe the stock price will rise and they want to profit from it. Post Holdings Inc (NYSE: POST) saw a director step up to the buy window midweek. The stock ended the week at $98.05 per share, which was above the director's listed purchase price range.

A Sprint lawsuit against AT&T reveals confusion over the newest wireless standards.
AT&T customers were seeing "5G E" logo on their mobile devices in over 400 markets. Smartphones running on both Android and Apple's iOS platforms are sporting "5G E" for AT&T customers, even though those phones are not equipped to support 5G. Sprint said that a survey showed 54 percent of AT&T's consumers believed their "5G E" network is the same as or better than a 5G network and 43 percent said if they buy an AT&T phone today, it would be capable of running on 5G.
