Jeff, false narratives crafted by wily Wall Street crowd to dump prices in the sector. Claiming that the McDermott bankruptcy in some way will impact the construction equipment sector or even better yet that it is somehow indicative of a weakness in the construction industry. Both are false. McDermott is an engineering/construction management company, that is it, not a construction company and definitely not what one poster on the CAT site said, a giant industrial construction company, they do not buy, own or even rent construction equipment. They act as a GC and do not self execute any of the actual construction activities besides engineering design, project management, site supervision, nothing else. Not one piece of construction equipment will not be sold because of this filing, they do not buy equipment. They sub-contract everything. Not one project will be stopped or delayed.
The company went bankrupt because of poor management and their inability to survive in a very difficult gas and oil exploration market place. Halliburton seems to be doing well enough.

I’m confused by the announcement. Yahoo shows earnings expectations of $.46 per share. Are they saying that adjusted income is expected to be $1.45 per share inclusive of a $67 million pension charge? If I’m looking at apples and oranges, please tell me what I’m interpreting wrong.

Interesting that they delayed report because of non-regulatory and non-accounting purposes, often times see this when a buy-out is in process, the nice rise on Friday (though the entire sector rose with trade hopes) helps that speculation to a certain degree. It will be interesting to see how volumes and share prices roll the next several days.

in the past decade terex had a lower market cap in only 3 months, September to December 2011. before that, the throes of the great recession. I have a hard time thinking this can get much lower. by every metric it's a good buy. but I have a hard time seeing where the bottom might be.

Looks like every time TEX manages to get to upper 40's it tumbles down back to lower 40's in a blink of an eye.

Anyone have a view on the infrastructure bill moving TEX and other construction equipment stocks?

wall Street is being excessively optimistic here, and in general. there is a very rough year or two ahead across all industries, and when relaxed social distancing measures cause a big uptick in covid cases since we STILL HAVE NO VACCINES OR PROVEN THERAPEUTICS WIDELY AVAILABLE, the market will tank hard in the next couple months.

To none. They all vested stock grants. Look are their sec filings. Yes it is smart for them, it minimizes taxes. They win! Is this not true? This is going on in many companies. Just an example of the execs taking care of themselves first, JPM boys did it also. Sneaky stuff as far as I am concerned. The staff could better spend time running business.

Buy tex before its to late. Even if you pick up a few shares. We're headed to summer and work will be picking back up in April.

time to cash out, rinse, and repeat? let it go back down to 17 or 14? or up to the 50dma (23.50) or top Bollinger band (27) first? recent history suggests at least the 50dma before it retreats, but this market also can't be trusted for ten minutes.

Raised Divvy . Albeit only a penny . Management must feel a little confident . Wouldn`t be giving it away if they didn`t have it .
