Mediaset España Comunicación, S.A., together with its subsidiaries, operates and manages television channels in Spain. As of December 31, 2015, the company operated six TV channels comprising Telecinco, Factoría de Ficción, Boing, Cuatro, Divinity, and Energy. It also engages in the gambling and betting; audiovisual and film production; news agency; and online gaming activities. In addition, the company is involved in the sale of advertising projects; and creation of an online video advertising platform grouping Latin American channels. Further, it engages in acquiring, subscribing, holding, administering, and selling fixed-income and equity securities in various types of civil and mercantile, industrial, commercial, national, or foreign companies. The company was formerly known as Gestevisión Telecinco, S.A. and changed its name to Mediaset España Comunicación, S.A. in May 2011.
