I recently found this company when looking for strong Brand in retail and Cyclical stocks, it is a really good company, any thoughts on Earnings for this Thursday?

I checked Tilly's website today and was surprised to see that they have job ads out for assistant managers at ALL (or certainly most) of their stores. The only logical way to explain it is that they have created a new position at their stores. Even then, I have never seen a company hire en masse like this. Assuming 237 stores and perhaps $60K for the position, this comes out to $1.42 million in salaries. Not sure what to make of this. I would think this means they are anticipating robust growth. Any thoughts?

So, last quarter, Tilly's has double the earnings analysts projected, and the stock price barely moves. This quarter, they were below estimates by a few cents, and the stock tanks? How does this make any sense?

    Unreal qtr again!!!
3rd quarter in a row blowing away estimates … increased forward guidance ; special dividend this week… what retailer has a dividend like TIlly’s…. No one!
    Buy ,buy, buy
Their supply chain is primarily from Canada so that’s also a plus . One of the best retailers out there under the radar.
No pump… Tillys is the bomb!

A sell off after record breaking earnings and a price target upgrade... makes no sense at all. Paperhands will be crying.

Good to see tlys management choosing the stock buyback over the $1 dividend. With the stock at $9 it would be nice to buy out all of these weak hands

I don't understand the $1 per share special dividend. So I can buy 1000 shares on February 14, receive the $1000 dividend payment on February 27, and sell the stock on February 28?

Tlys back to nine. Wonderful. Guidance obviously subdued given the current economic environment. Guess I’ll take the glass half full side of the equation and remind myself that tlys is debt free with $140 million in cash. Could earn $25-30 million on over $700 million in revenues. Looks really cheap along with other retailers like GPS FL BGFV HIBB and loads of other retailers which should be able to compete with Amazon with oil at $100

Lowest PE retailer with increasing footspace and profits and dividends. 9 is ike a gift here.

I guess the decent quarter plus decent guidance bodes well for a decent dividend to be announced in two months

Tilly's price target raised by B. Riley to $24 buy rating!

Tilly's has the best stats of any of the stocks I own. This would be funny if it wasn't painful. Maybe next quarter they will do poorly and the stock price will rise.

This stock is really making me sad. Thought it was a strong company.

A dollar dividend is back! Thanks management for showing how to get it done in times of crisis. Half the battle was not paying the dividend last spring and entering the pandemic with a net cash position to allow the company to weather the bad times and emerge in a dominant position with the ability to grow the store footprint

$167 million net cash as of June 1 up nearly $10 million for the month of June.

So, what's going on here? Tons of cash, high analyst projections, positive articles/press, earnings double expectations...and still the price goes down?

Ok, now I see why this has a $21 price target on TipRanks. Buying more tomorrow. Should have done it before market close. Let's go!

I watched Boot , specialty retailer grow from $7 a few years back to $91 today. I believe this Management team will execute and eyes will open up to Tully’s very soon!! The estis’ & revs all revised up for a reason !! $20 soon!!
