It looks like short term traders are about done with their 3rd qtr profit taking. Bollinger bands narrowing and fast stochastics are in the oversold range. Low volume for the rest of this holiday week, but I look for the stock price to move up next week.
    Bullish

How long does it takes yahoo to upload the current financial information so that the correct TTM PE is reflected... With current quarter the TTM is 5.61 it some where north on 7... which pushes the PE ratio to approximately 10 times earnings....Bargaiiiiin

I've just done a recalculation of my earnings model and price targets.
If we assume a core EPS power of $9 and 5% growth thereafter, I get a present value of $110+. A 4.3% dividend, likely to grow by 6-8% per year adds a margin of safety.

Q3 was exceptional and Q4 will be even better. Current conditions will prevail well into 2022. 14% divi raise is the icing on the cake. I see the stock price moving into the $60-70 range over the next few months. Moving Into 2022 we should be north of $70 based on fundamentals.

My post from about 6 months ago: My price target then is still my view.

I value the company today at a bit over $84/share and have projected a long-term price advance from that level of about 7%, though EPS will be above trend for the next 12-24 months before moderating somewhat. The business will still have some cyclical elements attached to it but that will be moderated by TRTN's ever growing size relative to the industry and its consequent ability to better control pricing by being a leader and offering more pick-up and drop-off points for customers...a great mark of customer service.
The debt upgrade will help as the company further consolidates the industry and I'd expect a dividend increase to around $2.48 later this year....and possibly a special dividend of as much as a dollar.
Using my 10-year model, I am expecting a long-term 11% share price growth rate from today's price of $53 plus, conservatively, another 4% in dividends....for an expected annual return of 15%.
My cost basis is around $29.25.....I have a full position, or I'd be adding here.

What do you guys think about future risk, when market gets back to normal levels. Shipping companies are now generating huge profits, they could use them to buy their own containers and don't rely on leasing so much as in past. I know leasing companies are more agile and able to deliver containers on short notice, but still there could be change in demand for leasing
