Buying this etf seems like a great long term decision. Economies bounce back and the etf holdings are no light weight. It has a P/E of 6 and a P/B of 1. There are companies in the etf selling for less that the book price, so the business is coming in for free. Macro factors are cyclical, sooner or later they will readjust, give it a good 5-10 years, and realize 2-3 X profit.

This fund entirely missed the global equity rally since March 2009. And now, they take a currency beating.
And on another note, since when does Turkey have any north Atlantic shoreline ?

So, after dropping almost 4% the previous day, it is now up pre-market almost 4% right after US sanctions are announced. Who possibly can understand this?

I have been researching international ETFs, and I really like Turkey TUR. It seems to be an excellent value. Just look at the stats.
    Price / Earnings Ratio = 7.96
    Price / Book Ratio = 1.10
    Distribution Yield = 3.08%

The country also has good GDP growth around 3%.
    Bullish

Turkey deserves this. If they want to side with Russia and China, go ahead but this is the result!

    Enjoy your new allies 😉

This should bounce to about $30 at some point. Long term in-the-money calls are a good buy here.

Would this be worth the risk to buy at it's 2008-2009 lows?

Watch out on and after 12th of October. This thing will go down like a lead balloon. Better buy puts.

This turkey is slowly being basted. A few more months on the rotisserie and should be ready by Thanksgiving. Then we can gobble up some shares. Couldn't resist some pun.

Turkey will default on over $400B debt. Grab if you want a new Greece in your hands.
