After 20 years in business, Netflix (NFLX) finally made its first acquisition. Early Monday, the online media giant unveiled plans to buy Millarworld, the comic book producer behind titles such as “Kingsman,” “Kick-Ass” and “Old Man Logan.” “I don't think there has ever been a Silicon Valley company to ever get to $70-80Bn valuation without ever making an acquisition,” says Rob Sanderson, an analyst with MKM Partners. The deal makes Netflix the exclusive home of Millarworld’s yet to be optioned properties.
