trying to pick a bottom is very hard. Today the dow drops 1000, you never know if tomorrow it will drop 3000 or even 5000.

The market has been bad until today it decided to surge. Everybody was practically crying then. It kept dipping. That's what you get when you feel you can navigate the process on your own. Big thanks to EXPERT Jackson Eric . I'm not bothered with how bad the market is because my assets are insured due to his advice and I still receive my huge profits

The 0.5% interest rate will do nothing to contain the inflation. Even if it was 0.75% it would still do nothing to the inflation. Why? This is not a economic expansion induced inflation. Therefore the inflation is insensitive to interest rake hike.

The only way to solve the inflation issue is to invest more in China to increase the production and therefore the supply. But that is not politically correct --- we are trying to contain China's growth therefore can not invest in it.

So it is a there is no way out situation.

Too many down days in a row even if it's headed lower, bounce is coming even if only for a day, it's coming. UDOW is $52.60 as I type this, and I believe it's going to hit $55 before $51. Thanks.
    Bullish

Called iShares and turns out the 3x performance is based on the NAV price and not the secondary market price shown for the ticker. Yesterday's NAV was 35.70 and based on that, it is correctly tracking on the up side right now with DIA up 5.6% and UDOW up 11% from yesterday's closing, and 15% from yesterday's NAV closing.
    Bullish

GDP shrank for the first time in 6 years. Thinking that was bad news, I quickly sold UDOW, thinking it would go down. Then it went up today.
Conclusion: The Dow-Jones went up because I sold. You're welcome, everybody!

Hello UDOW investors, I have seen comments regarding the long term holding of leveraged ETF's as being risky. Some have thrown around the term decay. Is there anyone who might explain this decay effect on UDOW and what might happen to someone who buys say, 1000 shares and walks away from the monitoring day to day? For example, say I bought this 1000 shares on January 1 2010 and held on until the close of Thursday March 28th 2018. What would my DECAY rate have been vs my gains? Anyone?

    QUESTION

Is it ok to buy and hold UDOW for a couple of years? because on the description from my Brokerage account it says " investors should not buy and hold "

    I really appreciate your explanations.

What is going on here? ProShares has the leverage on this ETF messed up....this is supposed to be 3x and performing 1x. It was negative 5% earlier when dow was positive.

Got in today right at close at 38 - 900sh. And will be adding 2-3x more shares with each further leg down though such 2x, 3x leveraged ETFs are meant to be for day trades only and not recommended for hold but this sharp correction and mouth watering PEs, I feel this could be a short term hold - for maybe 1-2 weeks.

I’m keeping a close eye on this. This is again not the 3 times of Dow. If Dow is up 1 percent this is up 2 percent

The more the fed warns, the more the fed spends, the higher the market goes, the higher the debt rises, the deeper we sink into the abyss..........and then the fed chairmen says........"don't bet against the us economy.."
To a sensible person this is conflicting information and sophomoric cheerleading........
But here we go!!!!!!!! Good luck to the next generation of US citizens.......they will inherit a debt the likes of which has never been seen in the history of the Earth!!!!!
