USO has been a rocket while UNG keeps blowing up on the launch pad. Thought these two would move more in lock step with one another. Something is just not right here?

Natural gas futures are down 4%, how can that be?? One might think UNG should also be down 4% or about $.45 cents.

Ung just doesn't work that way. UNG is like a 2x/3x levered etf that is basically designed to drop and then do a reverse split or in some cases fold.

-32F this morning in Minnesota where I live. Going to be pushing -40F on Sunday. The interesting thing is that we won't know how much natural gas was actually burnt this weekend, as that report won't be out until Thursday, Feb 25th. So expect rising prices for the next 12 days. I'd hate to be short Natural Gas on Monday. Going to be interesting.

    Disclosure: Long 19,000 shares UNG.

With all the historic cold temperatures...this continues its historic move down. Just goes to show you the stock markets scams are alive and well.

Market needs and wants low Natural Gas. Let the governments pay for our energy. Short this back to single digits.

Dallas, TX forecast for Monday, Feb 15 was revised to 2F, shattering that days record by 21F. The triangle of freezing temperatures has now expanded well into Mexico, from Idaho to New York. And the cold snap is growing in length, adding another day to its duration. Nat gas usage will be phenominal. Today's report was only through last Friday (Feb 5). Next report (2/18) will only cover through tomorrow 2/12, but it will be big. But the even bigger report (2/25) will cover this weekend, which are going to bust many records in the lower 48, and will cover the big day, Monday 2/15 that I spoke of in Dallas. Remember, 30,000,000 people in Texas, the largest user of natural gas in the country. Today's price of $10.44 will be looked back on as a gift. Place your bets accordingly.

I understand the global warming climate change narrative, but, now its global warming causing this new global freezing?? Really??

There is nothing new, every single winter, without fail we go through cold. Its called winter!!

UNG has had 3 reverse stock splits in the last ten years. This ought to be a concern.

    On 3/9/2011...... 1 for 2, so 1000 shares become 500 shares
On 1/30/2012.....1 for 4, so those 500 shares become 125 shares
On 12/26/2012...1 for 4, so those 125 shares become 31.25 shares.

So after after ten years you basically a few hundred dollars and zero dividends.

Is UNG a good long or is it a GREAT short??? Either way, just don't hold it!!

    Good luck to all!

Good old Joe is on his way to Texas with his green energy team he’s also bringing his son he’s an oil expert he was your top man in the Ukraine they’re going to get right on it for you they have all the answers this is just a prelude what’s in store for the whole country that wants to go to green energy green energy is soft energy everything has to be just perfect for it to work Oil natural gas and coal Power of the world we closed or coal plants and now we shut down some of our nuclear plants now we rely on natural gas to generate electricity this was a big mistake I wonder how long all those tree huggers which sit in your homes for a week without any electricity when temperatures are below zero .

Forecast for Dallas, TX continues to get worse for Monday, Feb 15. 1F and 4-6 inches of snow. The RECORD low for that date is 23F! This country is going to consume one heckuva lot of natural gas. In a few weeks, you'll hope you had bought at today's prices.

Many people in the south have tiny furnaces that cannot keep up to 2F, so they heat their home with inefficient electrical heaters. It takes way more natural gas to burn in a turbine to generate electricy to send up to 200 miles to power an electric heater. That is why nearly all homes in the north rely on direct natural gas, it is much more efficient. But the southerners have no choice, but to supplement their tiny gas furnaces with electric heaters that use even more natural gas.

It can cost a whole lots of money figuring out that this product only goes down over time, or else you can just run with that trend??

PS, its warming up!! Spring skiing has begun!!

(Reuters) - U.S. utility companies Duke Energy Corp and Xcel Energy Inc said natural gas will remain part of their power mix for years to come to help keep electric grids reliable and power affordable as they transition to cleaner forms of energy.

On Monday, Feb 15, Dallas, TX is expected to be 9F, or 14 degrees BELOW the record low for that date. There are 30,000,000 people in TX. Take a triangle from Idaho to Texas to New York and basically that entire region will be frozen in the coming days. There will be a TREMENDOUS amount of natural gas burnt to heat homes in the coming week.

Just bought 3000 shares at 9.43 winter has a long way to go in last year February and March were fairly mild we could have a huge surprise in store for us in February and I personally think it’ll be much colder and longer than last year at the same time depletion rates in very few completed wells to fill in the gap natural gas is boxed in supply is dwindling and demand is growing we are on a collision course

A play to consider in the Natural Gas space may not be the actual nat gas, but the producers, transportation, the mineral owners etc.
An ETF like $FCG has the nat gas companies as well as oil name like $OXY. This also pays a 3% dividend.
Oil/Gas pipelines get paid no matter the price of Nat gas and with the draw, these pipelines will be moving a lot more gas. Companies like $KMI $ET $EPD etc pay a 8-9% yield.

It is extremely hard to trade Nat gas and win......good luck!!
