This stock only seems to have upward minimum volatility! It dropped much like other stocks last March, but did not recover as normal stocks did last year. After one year it is still a negative return as it was at $69 in March 2020. I have moved to a much higher percentage of equities now, and other than a good reserve amount to cover a 3-4 years retirement income needs, I have moved money to etf mostly with small-mid cap and large cap equity funds. 6% return on most since Jan 1st. Very high returns on the mid cap growth funds I bought last fall. Nothing like this low volatility stock over the last year. Considering some purchases in Value funds as it appears they faired better in down markets over the years, and are doing better now.

Definitely didn't performed as I had hoped when the volatility kicked in. A lot of hype about how it would hold up better than the S&P 500 in this kind of environment, but it hasn't done well over the last two months or so. Disappointing.

this etf is near all time high; this is hardly an "out of favor" etf. rule no 1: look at where a stock (or etf) has been in its recent past to get the best idea of where it is NOT heading in its recent future!!!!!!! rule no 2: an etf is only low volatility as long as you don't own it; once you purchase it - watch out!!!!! rule no 3: safe haven stocks or funds are a "contradiction in terms"!!!!

Min vol strategies underperformed for years in 1990s tech bubble.
Right when it would have been opportunistic to embrace the underperforming min vol and value strategies.

What is going on? Down 12%+ in after hours?

I think the issue wasnt so much that it declined 30%+-
But that it rose too much in 2019 with too much tech...
In 2019, hershey and dominion energy and water utillities were least volatility. In 2019, primarily consumer staples and utillities were lowest volatility. It had a ton of tech sector.

Besides, i think central banks caused the crash on purpose
A lot of companies had been selling off for years.

    Was covid man made?

I bought some USMV in Oct. Of 2019. I just did the math with it's high and low price during the Feb-Mar drop and it took a 33% hit like most everything else. I thought this fund was suppose to be resistant to the full effect of a economic downturn. What a POS.

Did Yahoo miss the Decimal again? How can this ETF be down 10% after hours?

Other than late 2019 and march 2020, it seems to be working as it should. What is normal market fluctuation and what is rigged by central banks...upside or downside
