The fund didn't drop. It is an administrative step as they reallocate short-term and long-term capital gains. Shortly, you will see two sets of shares added to your holdings, representing the ST and LT Cap Gains distributions. This happened last year as well, in December.

I have had this fund for over 40 years. Gone through several changes in names and NEVER have I ever seen it drop this much in one session. Other funds with similar holdings only dropped 2.5% or less. Maybe it's time to dump this bomb!
Bearish

Douglas is correct, but it is bad form on the part of the fund to have a gap of almost 2 days between the big drop in NAV and the posting of the reinvestments on each investor's own account page. Could have easily been mitigated with a brief message even if the math wasn't ready yet. I saw the drop on Thursday evening, but did not see any hint of reinvestment until today, Saturday. I would not have known what was going on if I had not called my advisor on Friday afternoon.

None of the major holding dropped to this extent. Wonder why the company wouldn't think to release an explanation?

My wife has had this fund for years . I look in on it from time to time but never noticed anything like this

Continues to be a disaster. Why invest in a fund that has high fees and massively underperforms its benchmark?
R
Will the Capital Gain amount be less or greater than $6.68 per share in December of 2022? I'm holding about 850 shares since 2005.
Neutral

If anyone hasn't still seen it------- this is listed under Historical Data on this site showing a dividend on Dec 11, 2020 of $2.517 . That is why you saw the drop on 12/11 in share price.

In 2002 it was held by Van Kampen and called American capital pace Even then I don’t think it’s been a “great performer” but a steady stock BTW Amazon took a huge Hit back a month ago so this fund reflects that loss proportionate to its holdings otherwise you’d be seeing larger gain
O
Another terrible fund from Invesco. Over the past five years, the Russell 1000 Growth Index, which can be bought in a number of extremely low cost funds and ETFs, is up about 74.5% while this fund is up less than 18%. Really? There is no reason to believe that this fund, part of the disaster that is Invesco's US growth group, will be able to produce decent returns anytime soon.

UHC losses?

What caused Tuesdays losses ?

I've had this fund under one name or another for almost 50 years and never seen a one-day drop like that. Holy #$%$
