Consumer staples seem like a good place to go when fleeing from Treasuries. The price history is mostly uncorrelated with the rest of the market. Great way to diversify a portfolio, and if you want a better return crank it up with a synthetic future.

According to Yahoo 12% of the holdings in this etf is in tobacco. Is there consumer staple etf without tobacco?

With inflation warming up in the bull pin and interest rates at historic lows VDC provides a reasonable safe haven remembering that we gotta eat, drink and for some smoke. I don’t have much but hope to buy more when possible.

Great defensive hold heading into a potential downturn. This ETF is showing a slow but steady rise.

Looking at consumers staples - already in here - BUT it seems over-priced @ +$171... Guess that is just the market these days...

This etf is looking more interesting now that holdings including Coke, Altria, Philip Morris and Walmart have all expressed interest in either CBD wellness products and/or cannabis infused products and sales. Good way to play the cannabis market with little risk.
