What is yearly dividend?

Equities as an aggregate are highly susceptible to interest rates. Though 0% was previously sustained in excess of a decade, it does to create a sustainable environment for the long-term. VYM is around a 3% dividend yield, as rates uptick eventually, and naturally through excessive debt load, 3% will be deemed insufficient when other opportunities provide a greater return at a lower risk. To get to a yield greater than 3%, the price per share of the ETF will need to decline.

What about VGSLX? Does any one know when they will pay dividends?

Looks like the dividend is paid out on the last Thursday of March? does that sound about right? No officials announcement yet.

This is the Vanguard High Dividend Yield Index Fund Admiral (VHYAX) board. I wish Yahoo would fix it so people wouldn't post about VYM on it.

VYM is simply the best fund vanguard offers. Expect huge inflows to this as investors abandon bonds and come to high quality dividend stocks for income.

This is an ideal mutual fund to weather the market turbulence of late 2018 and possibility early 2019. Value stocks with respectable yield form the best defensive game plan.

What is happening with VYM? Lagging and losing ground when all other indexes are gaining.

Does this stock actually pay you a dividend like any other dividend stock would? like a actual payment to your broker account or does it only go up/down in stock price ???
