Emerging Markets Incumbent leaders retained their presidential seats in last week’s elections in South Africa and Kenya, while the head of Mozambique’s government narrowed his differences with a key opposition figure. In South Africa, President Jacob Zuma narrowly survived a vote of no confidence stemming from allegations of corruption and mismanagement. In Kenya, East Africa’s largest economy, President Uhuru Kenyatta appeared to beat longtime rival Raila Odinga.
