Wells Fargo Securities We hosted our third annual Wells Fargo Financial Services Investors’ Forum in San Francisco over the past two days, hosting a broad range of banks as well as a number of specialty finance companies. Many of the regional-bank names remain optimistic for second-quarter loan growth, especially coming off a seasonally weaker first quarter. While pressure continues to mount for those banks at or near the 300% commercial real estate (CRE) regulatory guideline level, the banks with niche expertise (Western Alliance Bancorp (WAL), Bank of the Ozarks (OZRK), Triumph Bancorp (TBK) and SVB Financial Group (SIVB)) remain encouraged with their lending outlook.
