Westpac Banking Corporation provides banking and financial services worldwide. The company operates through five divisions: Consumer Bank, Business Bank, BT Financial Group, Westpac Institutional Bank, and Westpac New Zealand. Its personal banking services include savings accounts, term deposits, and student accounts; home, personal, and investment loans, as well as credit and currency cards; and home and content, landlord, car, travel, boat, caravan and trailer, life, credit and loan repayment, and income protection insurance products. The company’s personal banking services also comprise superannuation products, guaranteed income plans, retirement planning services, share and investment options, and financial advisory services, as well as other services, such as emergency cash, online and telephone banking, ATMs, unclaimed money, travel center, private banking, foreign currency, and banking services to migrants moving to Australia. It also provides business banking services, including business, foreign currency, community solutions cheque, agribusiness, savings, not-for-profit saving, and farm management accounts, as well as term deposits; equipment finance, small business loans, commercial loans, and agribusiness loans; merchant services; superannuation products; business, farm pack, person income, and business overheads insurance; foreign exchange, cash flow management, import and export, and international trade services; industry specific banking services; and online and telephone banking services. In addition, it offers corporate banking services, such as capital advisory and funds management services; transactional banking services; financial market services; and corporate and structured finance, as well as trade and supply chain finance. The company was formerly known as Bank of New South Wales and changed its name to Westpac Banking Corporation in October 1982. Westpac Banking Corporation was founded in 1817 and is headquartered in Sydney, Australia.
