Where in the hello is our recession? Talking heads keep promising a recession but now a small one is on the way.

Good move to exit mortgage correspondence business and the costs associated with it. Lower Efficiency Ratio will be the result in Q4-22 results.

I wish the situation was as positive as some of the comments below. The latest story on Bloomberg suggests that Wells Fargo will significantly downsize its Mortgage business. That the head of diversity, inclusion and circus acts is taking over a key Marketing position. That the governments unrelenting harassment and attacks on Wells Fargo continue unabated. Any thoughts out there on this news?

Great fundamentals and improvement, nice dividend increase, but worst stock in my portfolio this year. What's with WFC??

Thought hurricanes were climate change indicator. Notice naysayers and talking heads have noticed hardly any hurricanes this year. They see what they want.

Why can't this company learn to operate correctly and profitably? Why can't it put processes in place and FOLLOW them so that loans are made and serviced with little risk? Why is it so hard to get rid of the bad apple personnel?

I just discovered the dividend increase. I'm really happy to see this. It sucked when it got cut so drastically, but it's nice to see the company increase it again when business is better. This alone should push us up further.

    WFC news

“Wells Fargo & Co. plans to shrink its vast mortgage empire, which once churned out one of every three home loans in the US and for a time made the bank the most valuable in the nation.”

WFC is stuck in the mud even when other financials are soaring. They refused to do repurchases under $40, did them all over $50 pumping the stock to near $60 and now what....

For a preview of what a high interest rate environment does for financial companies, look at UNM this morning.

Doesn’t anyone realize that we are quickly approaching a point of no return on this rally? If we go even 5% higher the fed will HAVE to quash it with a 1% move next time. Otherwise, it will have a wealth effect that makes it impossible for the fed to meet its inflationary goals.

Can anyone predict the bottom for WFC?
