Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc. said Wednesday it added $300 million to its stock repurchase program. Including the repurchase authorization remaining from its previous buyback program, the hotel franchising company can now repurchase up to $386 million worth of its stock. Based on Tuesday closing price of $54.22, Wyndham can buy back up to 7.12 million shares, or about 3% of the shares outstanding. The company also declared a regular quarterly dividend of 29 cents a share, payable Sept. 30 to shareholders of record on Sept. 13. The dividend yield as of Tuesday's closing prices was 2.14%, compared with the implied yield for the S&P 500 of 1.99%, according to FactSet. The stock has rallied 19.5% year to date, while the S&P 500 has gained 16.7%.
