Simple-Fill Inc. has raised $1.7 million from Worthington Industries Inc. and other investors toward making its next generation of lower-cost natural gas compressors. The Ohio State University spinoff also has moved its operations to the Columbus plant of Parker Hannifin Corp. (PH). The Cleveland-based manufacturer produces several components and has helped with engineering for the compressor, which uses liquid instead of thousands of spinning parts to compress the gas into usable vehicle fuel.
