Extending its string of acquisitions, Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (WYN) recently announced the buyout of AmericInn that is expected to strengthen its mid-scale segment portfolio.
Minnesota-based midscale hotel brand AmericInn has agreed to be acquired by Wyndham Hotel Group of New Jersey for $170 million. The AmericInn brand is owned by Chanhassen-based Northcott Hospitality and includes 200 hotels, mainly owned by franchisees in Midwest locations. The deal, which is subject to regulatory and government approval, also includes Three Rivers Hospitality, which manages 21 AmericInn properties.
