Copper and battery metals prices are expected to hit record highs and should be very positive for XPL. The lack of new copper discoveries in the last ten years means that companies like XPL could soar. Another impressive copper gold cobalt company Red Metal Resources (RMESF: OTC) (RMES.V) recently reported impressive drill results showing what could become high-grade copper mine. Cobalt was also encountered that could be worth as much as the copper. Red Metal 100%-owned claims of about 3,378 hectares are in the Chilean Carrizal district that is estimated to have yielded more than 3 million tonnes of copper which translates to over $24 billion at todays’ prices. Additional drilling results from the same drill program are due in a few days and could send shares higher. RMESF or RMES is undiscovered and undervalued and trading between 12 to 15 cents with tiny market cap of about $5.5 million.

No one noticed as institutional holding are increasing.

Management owns 15%, Zebra (Lundin) owns 5.6% and institutions own 15%.
At a minimum 35% is closely held.
My guess that over 60% held in strong hands.
We need some good drilling news to propel XPL above $1.00

Definitely not one of the meme stocks.
    Anti-meme stock maybe.
    No interest, little volume.
    But big potential.

If one reads the filling it implies up to 40% dilution of common shares over the near term.
I get this number as follows: $12, 000,000 of stock offered. But at what price? Given the recent price history a price range of $0.40 to $0.70 is likely with $0.50 a likely target. That is 24,000,000 shares on a base of 55,000,000 shares. If this action value enhancing?
Let the market determine my answer. We need to look at the market price over the next four weeks to determine the answer. If the price goes above $0.82 on decent volume, then maybe my estimate of $0.70 is low. If the market price falls below $0.50 then my estimate of $0.50 might be too high.
I hope that I am wrong, but this does not look like a value enhancing decision.
I hope that the only value company generates is not just more tax loss carry forwards.

This is 3 people sitting in an office. They buy mineral Rights to properties, have other companies explore and mine it, and attempt to profit off the Royalties.

Signs of intelligent life in this stock. Probably, share price was depressed in December by tax loss selling.

Agree value of XPL stock not presently correlated to value of properties and partnerships.
    Just got upgraded as well.
Buy and hold. Management knows the royalty/partnership game well and has proven past success. Mining is a longer term game. Buy, hold, profit.

Should sell short in my ex-wife's account?
How high can this stock go?

Anyone out there buying or selling?

It was indeed quite the presentation. Management is clearly very excited about the new gold prospect. Meanwhile the zinc partnerships remain very favorable. This little gem will generate nice longer term returns. Buy and hold and win.

no position. $723k loss per quarter. if this continues, it is 3 mil per year. they have close to 12 to 13 mil in cash. so, has another 3 to 4 years before they dilute and raise cash for operations? or would they do it even before?

Take a look at the HC Wainwright presentation this morning, given by XPL President, Chris Herald.
This little company has a lot going on with two of the largest publicly traded Zinc players in the world. NEXA and TECK. Now they have acquired a domestic gold opportunity. Cash on books without debt and proven management who owns almost 10% of company.
58 million shares is a small float and they do not like to dilute with share offerings.
Accumulate and hold. Mining is a longer term play.
    Bullish

no position. how far away is this company from mining and selling any zinc? Production seems so far away that it may miss any zinc shortage cycles in near term. dont see any catalysts that will move the stock price up. they are just sitting and eating away 15 mil cash.

To the moon might not be just hype.
Stock is under heavy accumulation by one or more institutions.

Projected price target above $1 by end of April .

On 3 days recently XPL's price has risen significantly, and on each of these days the volume traded was substantially greater than usual. On each occasion, both the price and the volume fell back the next day.

On these 3 days a total of 13838900 shares in Solitario were sold. This is 23.8% of the total number (58141366) of shares on issue.
Is something going on here? Is someone planning a takeover bid, and trying to shake off the weak holders?
Are there circumstances under which someone is obliged to make a full takeover offer?
Can one find the largest shareholders in a company?

In Chris Herald's recent presentation, he was optimistic about the Golden Crest gold project because it is near a super-giant gold deposit. But other gold explorers would know this, so why hasn't the area been explored before now?
"Zinc prices surged past $3,400 a tonne, the highest since February 2018 as smelters cut production due to soaring electricity costs lending optimism to the zinc bulls." https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/zinc. The price of Solitario has followed the price of zinc up. If less zinc is being produced because of the high cost of electricity it might push up the price of zinc, but it seems to me that it will reduce demand for zinc ore. Will this be good for zinc explorers such as Solitario?
