Expense ratio is too rich. If they could reduce it to 1.5 I'd be back in

Been here over 3 years. Pays .13 per share per month like clockwork. Even got a .063 bonus in Dec. No complaints here.

Still want to know why they REDUCED this month's distribution by 7.7%...can't find any answers..paid the same dividend for years without change until now..

I look at YYY as a rental property. I dont really care what its worth, dont plan on selling. As long as it pays the rent(div) I'm happy😁

The million dollar High yield bond CEF strategy.
Find the 10 best high yield bond closed end funds through research and home work. You can assemble funds that average 10% in yields or close to that. YYY would not make my top 10. See Pimco first.
Take the income from half that is $50,000 a year($4166 a month) and reinvest the dividends from the other half alternating as often as you wish.
In 10 years your principle will be around $1.6M and your income will be up to $80,000!
All with a reasonable amount of risk.

I've owned YYY for a few months now and noticed my dividends are classified as 'ordinary' as opposed to 'qualified'. I'm not sure if that will always be the case or it's because I haven't owned it long enough or maybe because I've bought and sold along the way. Does anyone know if the dividends would be 'qualified' eventually? I can't seems to get a good answer from the prospectus. Having qualified dividends would be of great benefit tax-wise.

Super stable fund, great yield. When market uncertainty increases, I place my excess funds in YYY.

Double fund fees? First from the Fund held by YYY and then from YYY. Anyone know what we actually pay in total fees?
M
My broker won't let my buy this for some reason. I want that yield! Why would it be restricted?
L
Can I buy YYY today 2/24/2022 and still get dividend? When is Feb 2022 Ex-Dividend Date?
H
If you get into a DRIP with YYY will you purchase your shares at the NAV price??
