Vinci confident of damages if France scraps new airport in west

French construction company Vinci (SGEF.PA) is confident it will be compensated if the government scraps a plan to build a new airport near the western city of Nantes. President Emmanuel Macron's government has promised a final decision by the end of the month on whether to build a new airport at Notre Dame des Landes -- an idea dating back more than three decades -- or expand an existing one on the outskirts of Nantes. Vinci has a 55-year concession to build and operate the planned 580 million euro (515.49 million pounds) new airport.

France plans privatisation law in asset sale push - PM

The French government is planning a privatisation bill as part of its programme of asset sales, Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said in an interview, confirming that the state could cede control of some companies. It has since reduced its minority stakes in energy group Engie and car maker Renault, and there has been speculation that Paris airport operator ADP and national lottery firm Francaise des Jeux (FDJ) are in line to be privatised. "There have already been some (asset sales) and there will be more," Philippe said in an interview with Sunday paper JDD.

No decision on whether to privatise French airport operator ADP - government source

The French government has not made a decision on whether to privatise Paris airport operator ADP (ADP.PA), and was considering "many options on table," a government source said on Monday. "The decision has not been taken," the government source said, adding that the state was proceeding cautiously. French business daily Les Echos reported on Sunday that the government is considering awarding a long-term concession to Paris airport operator ADP because of land ownership issues, prior to a possible sale of the controlling stake.

France to consider long-term ADP concession before sale -report

The French government is considering awarding a long-term concession to Paris airport operator ADP (ADP.PA) because of land ownership issues, prior to a possible sale of a controlling stake, business daily Les Echos said. ADP has been tipped to be among the state assets to be sold in a privatisation programme aimed at generating 10 billion euros to invest in innovation. The government may first grant an operating concession of 50 to 100 years to avoid a complex overhaul of the legal status of ADP, which unlike other airport operators owns its land, Les Echos said in an online version of its Monday edition.
