Goldman Sachs is "cautious" on all utilities, but still likes a couple of 'em.
The power company could soon be able to flip-the-switch to turn off more than 1 million of its customers’ electricity instead of giving day-of notification. AEP Ohio is asking regulators to let it remotely disconnect power for non-paying accounts as it prepares to install smart meters to 894,000 customers. Remote disconnection has been the norm in the past 20 months for 132,000 customers who already have smart meters.
