    WOW....
Oil prices are set to rise as high as $150 a barrel as OPEC+ controls supply in the face of Omicron concerns, JPMorgan says OPEC's control over the supply of oil will catapult prices to $150 a barrel in 2023, JPMorgan said in a Monday note. We believe OPEC+ will defend the oil price with paced volume growth to keep inventories low, JPMorgan said. The bank doesn't see the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 putting a dent into demand for oil.

EV runs on 35% COP natural gas. Here's a chance to buy low before the greenies figure out oil and gas companies will be selling them fuel.

Shell ~$9.5B shale acq completed. Waiting for more specificity on future CAPEX, and how that will affect production profiles. Hope it includes the YUGE increase in service costs certain to occur, with any significant increase in activity. Also, realistic expectations of production schedules in ever diminishing returns, because of offset fracture stimulation hits and competitive drainage.

One man's opinion. Even after running off some of the 9,900 involved Shell folks, COP got out value invested here. They will be chasing that $9.5B - well - forever.

Still waiting for any mention of a significant CAPEX development plan for their new to them Shell shale acreage. If I missed it, please point me to it.

Or, could it be that Shell, knowing how every new multilateral will be more subject to offset fracture stimulation hits and competitive drainage than the last, and that any significant increase in shale CAPEX will skyrocket service costs, did the value arithmetic, and "Dr. Michael Burry'd" COP....

Recent stockpiles are because of winter cold weather fuel switch overs. Happens every year. Next two weeks will show a draw down

Intelligent people know the EV is powered by gas and coal. COP and BP are good stocks for natural gas. Both are up more than Tesla year-to-date, way more, COP way, way more.
    Bullish

The oil patch cant catch a break.. The USA and other countries will release oil reserves to curtail price increase. Do you think FED Chief J Powell sold his oil shares before the announcement? Any chance the Gov could step in and lower the price of Apple AND Microsoft shares since i missed the run up in price so I can buy shares at a cheaper price.. Where was the gov when COP shares dropped from 70 to 27 during Covid?

a little soft temporarily, but VERY STRONG in december and Q1 n Q2 '22 as WTI is at $80 and will go higher since there's 'low supply and as world opens up high demand. There's a 2.5 M barrel consumption coming from airlines. Oil co's are raking in billions. Fang, PXD, COP are the top three picks in my portfolio. Look at analyst projections....+21% for COP
    Bullish

Global Oil Demand Is Back Above 100 Million Barrels a Day - BP

So, demand is back to pre-COVID levels while jet fuel is still far from full recovery. Sweet!

I remember Citi saying in mid-2020 that oil demand will NEVER again reach pre-COVID levels. Their humble pie is served.

I expect it to sell off a bit like every other stock seems to be reporting. Then I’d say a nice steady climb to 85 dollars and over 90 at the end of the year. Looking forward the company really is making the “right” moves

How will the future of EV go. Wait a few years and EV owners will beg to get rid of theirs.
