    Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") has today assigned a Baa2 long-term rating to the Deeply Subordinated Fixed Rate Resettable Notes (the junior subordinated "Hybrid") to be issued by ENGIE SA (ENGIE, the Group or the Company). The Baa2 rating assigned to the Hybrid is two notches lower than ENGIE's senior unsecured rating of A3, reflecting the features of the Hybrid. It is undated, deeply subordinated and ENGIE can opt to defer coupons on a cumulative basis.

    Engie Brasil Energia informed Brazil's Supreme Court that it had already raised $3 billion abroad to buy Petrobras' TAG pipeline unit when the top court suspended the $8.6 billion acquisition last week, according to a document seen by Reuters on Wednesday. A consortium led by the subsidiary of French gas and power group Engie had already closed the purchase of Transportadora Associada de Gás, or TAG, from state-run oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA in April and received approval from Brazil's antitrust regulator for the deal.

    LONDON/PARIS (Reuters) - French utility Engie and Portugal's EDP said on Tuesday they will invest 15 billion euros ($16.7 billion) with the aim of becoming the world's number two offshore wind developer after Denmark's Orsted. The two utilities, which have no operational offshore wind parks so far, said they will combine their offshore wind assets and project pipelines, starting with a total of 1.5 gigawatts (GW) under construction and 4 GW under development. "From day one, the JV will be among the top five players in this market," Engie CEO Isabelle Kocher said at a press briefing on the new joint venture in London.
