Generation Mining Limited (CSE:GENM, the “Company”) is pleased to announce additional results from the 2018 airborne VTEMTM survey on the western portion of the Rawdon property in Nova Scotia, where 976 line kilometres of VTEMTM survey were flown in late 2018 (Figure 1). The VTEM survey discovered four conductive responses of primary interest, all of them proximal to the Rawdon Fault Zone (RFZ) which is believed to have placed the prospective (for Zn, Pb and Cu mineralization) lower units of the variably conductive Windsor Group rocks in faulted contact with the basement rocks of the older, and magnetic Meguma Super Group. These discoveries are supported by an extensive database of historic airborne/ground geophysical and drill hole data, including gravity, magnetic, EM and 2D seismic, and are now drill-ready.
Generation Mining Limited (CSE:GENM, the “Company”) is pleased to announce that all permits have been received for a sampling program on the Alberta Zinc property (the “Property”) near High Level, Alberta, and that work will commence next week. The program is designed to pinpoint the source of a 4,000-square-kilometre zinc in till anomaly, as manifested by the presence of sphalerite grains, discovered by the Geological Survey of Canada and the Alberta Geological Survey in 2003 (Figure 2). Other studies have indicated the likely ice direction of the most recent glacial movement, and the program is designed to systematically sample shallow till samples moving “up ice” until the anomaly ends, thus indicating proximity to the source of sub-cropping zinc mineralization.
Generation Mining Limited (CSE:GENM, the “Company”) is pleased to announce initial results from the 2018 airborne VTEM survey, part of the base metals exploration program in central Nova Scotia. The program has identified a number of anomalies representing high-priority drill targets on the recently-staked Rawdon East property. A 222 line-km VTEM survey, completed in August, has identified VTEM anomalies in geologic units which host a number of historical lead-zinc deposits. Since the late 1800s, the Middle Stewiacke region has been known to host numerous carbonate-hosted base metal and barite deposits (Figure 1) hosted by marine sedimentary rocks and evaporites in the Windsor Group of rocks.
