Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced it has named Malaika Myers as the company’s chief human resources officer. Myers will join Hyatt on September 5, 2017 and report to Mark Hoplamazian, president and chief executive officer.

Hyatt Hotels warned Expedia Thursday that an early departure may be imminent. The Chicago-based hotel chain could exit the Expedia platform by July 31 if the website doesn’t lower its commission rates, according to Hotels Magazine . The threat is seen as a part of a larger battle between hotels and online travel agents (OTAs).
