The closed-end fund primarily invests in short duration floating rate securities designed to provide investors with a high level of income that is consistent with the preservation of capital. At 30 June, the fund's leverage stood at 30%, a level we expect it will at least maintain following the issuance of the preferred shares.

Additionally, Highland Capital Management Fund Advisors, L.P., the Fund's adviser, granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional $20.25 million to cover any overallotments. The Fund expects to use the net proceeds from the offering to purchase portfolio securities in accordance with its investment objectives and policies.
