BORROW costs moron. Once 8 - 9 million are taken out, the stock will become " hard to borrow ", borrow costs would go to 10% - 40%. Everything counts monopoly boy.

Watch the SEC make HLF give more details on tender offer and not let them mislead investors into thinking there is any real chance that someone will take them private in the 60's or higher making the CVR worthless.

    Summary
•As is customary with Herbalife, the company provided the skimpiest detail on the rationale of the recent Dutch auction.
•HLF induced investors to believe a cash offer to take the company private was in the offing – hence the CVR.
•The SEC intervened, demanding fuller disclosure, which showed conclusively no offer was made or is about to be made.
•The amendment shows, beyond reasonable doubt, that Icahn is the party that walked.
•Without the formidable threat of Icahn taking HLF private to spite his arch nemesis, watch out below.

I do have to say that with the stock no longer trading in the $68-$69 level it would have been smarter for the longs to sell at those prices.

This company is living up to the motto of its esteemed founder who coined the expression: "Fake it 'till you make it"

I suspect he was on drugs when he came up with those immortal words but I wouldn't know about that. He overdosed on drugs and alcohol before I could ask him.

Shorts are been obviously rattled as of late, a nasty smell of desperation is in the air. They know what is coming and it isn't good for the short side. 8 - 9 million shares coming out of the lendable float, shares will be designated " hard to borrow ", borrow costs will skyrocket 5-20 fold to 10% - 40%. Owning short shares will not be economical vs the risk. You need to educate yourself to the risk.

I'm starting to question my short position. Some guy keeps saying it was 27 or 32 back in the day... so I guess my short at 71 is foolish. LOL... oh, time will tell. Think I'll go down to GNC and buy some protein shakes; fill up my garage; become a billionaire when my garage goes private with an unkown "Party A" that takes my garage full of powder private.... LMAO

HLF's self tender offer expires tomorrow removing another 8.8M shares from the float - getting really dicey for the shorts. Excellent article written by "Old Analyst" over at Seeking Alpha . What do you think Bus? Can't be good for your short
