[Updates with Q1 forecast, after-hours stock price change.] Shares of fiber-optic equipment provider Infinera (INFN) are up up $1.03, or 15%, at $7.93, after the company this afternoon reported Q4 revenue that topped analysts expectations, and a slightly smaller loss than the Street was looking for, and also forecast this quarter's revenue higher. CEO Tom Fallon said the company had made “difficult but necessary decisions to reposition the company for crisper execution and increased focus on our go-to-market strategy." After a “full product refresh,” he said, the company has a “significant pipeline of opportunities,” he predicted the “recent positive revenue trajectory will continue." Fallon amplified those remarks on the call, remarking "we are on the cusp of completing our full new product refresh […] I'm looking forward to finally being able to deliver our full suite of products and satisfy pent-up demand." Shares of competitor Ciena (CIEN) are up 27 cents, or 1.2%, at $22.56.
