A blank-check firm backed by investment bank Lazard Ltd is aiming to raise $500 million in a U.S. initial public offering (IPO), a regulatory filing showed on Monday. The company, Lazard Growth Acquisition Corp. I, said it would sell 50 million units, made up of shares and warrants, at $10 apiece. The special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) saw attractive investment opportunities in the healthcare, technology, energy transition, financial and consumer sectors, it said.

I (the "Company") today announced that it publicly filed a registration statement on Form S-1 (the "Registration Statement") with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") relating to a proposed initial public offering of 50,000,000 units at a price of $10.00 per unit, each unit consisting of one Class A ordinary share and one-third of one redeemable warrant. The Company has applied to list the units on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "LGACU". The offering is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.
