check out Innovative Foods, IVFH, they are doing about $0.20 EPS and trading for less than $0.70 per share, and getting more liquid. Top line grew and bottom line doubled YOY. They suck at IR but now they are going to start focusing more on getting the story out.

This is nothing more than a train wreck. Now I need to find another stock to play with.. They sold the only part of the business of value. Considering how these companies operate, personnel piggy banks. One would think a special divined would be in the offer, you know, owner of the company??

Iistening to the CC, one can say based on the transaction price of 33 odd million, but sales of 2-3 m a quarter for the sold biz, then this works out at some 3x sales. Considering the valuation of the whole company makes value of the rest even negative. TD might not count directly, but does offset expenses by 1 m, although that might just cover needed sga. Better still, sold business was loss-making recently.. which might improve future eps, or at least allow for more r&d.
Considering the way this co. is really so diverse and is shedding businesses, makes you wonder what the end-game is here! Offsetting that is talk of an acquisition, which is a sure way to make investors hold of...

I pulled the plug on this pos and walked away with a bag of cash and did it a couple of times. API has a great story, but, the story never seems to work out. Example T-Ray was going to change the world, what do they have nothing! SOS with these folks. Promise the world and deliver one thing, a fat paycheck for themselves. Wonder how much they are going to lose in the second quarter? Time for management to half their salaries and put share holders interest before themselves. Call out to Mr write, you were dead on about the medical cabanas, missed that boat.... Would consider LUNA under a buck, maybe..

Wow, sale of optical business for $34.5MM giving them over $45MM of cash. With 28MM shares outstanding and the remaining sensing business this should be over $2 tomorrow. Probably wishful thinking but it's going to be closer to $2 than the $1.21 close of today.

Since hitting a 52 week stock price high, on January 26th, 2017 of $2.27, Luna Innovations stock price has continued to fall, and this morning hit an intra-day low (to this point) of $1.31. Investor interest on the various stock message boards has been tepid at best, so I wanted to share some information relating to Luna that hasn't been widely circulated.

According to US Spending.gov, Luna in the calendar year 2017 has obtained 62 contracts or grants with the US Government, (under the names Luna innovations, Advanced Photonix and Picometrix) totaling $8,349,926 in prime contract awards, and another $1,035,698 in sub-contract awards.

Not reported is the 1,700,000 shares purchased (new position) by Leviticus Partners, that caused the run up above $2.00 end of January.

I find this all very encouraging and hopefully bodes well for the future.

Short squeeze? Did you see the article that came out yesterday about the five stocks that were a strong sell? Luna was one of them. Could be smoke & mirrors before the big drop. Who could figure?

My statement about conflicting statements below is incorrect. I confused this what CEO said with another company's CEO in the same optical space.

For the longs who have faith in LUNA's CEO, take a close look at what he said in Q4 call transcript regarding any slow down in China optical business (not happening) versus the Q1 explanation for the declining China optical revenue. He was well into Q1.

Credibility is important to being investment worthy. Query how much else is not quite accurate?

How are you API guys doing? I'm into gold right now. It's supposed to pop again soon. Oil war sparked by Saudi's makes that volatile energy attractive. Retail stocks are being heavily shorted. About 200 of them predicted to fail. Where is the end to this LUNA slide?

Anyone else notice the slow, continuous and steady drop in the stock price? Reminds me of the old story of placing a frog in a pot of water and slowly bringing it to a boil. Froggie doesn't realize what happened until it is too late. Is anyone concerned? How low does this go?

Though there may be a modest slowdown in China optical network build that has affected this stock in near term, the need for data center build out should bring demand for years.

For LUNA experts: (1) what enables LUNA to compete against far more entrenched and well funded players like Ciena? and (2) does LUNA play in the data center part of this market?
