On June 30, cocoa futures in the US stood 4% higher at $1,836 per metric ton from $1,769 per metric ton on June 23.
Cocoa prices for the week ending June 23 ended in negative territory in the US and London.
Crude oil prices are getting a lift, following three consecutive days of declines. West Texas crude futures have risen more than 1% so far this morning to just under $43. Societe Generale's cross asset research team in a note published this morning said: Cocoa prices are testing 10-year lows and if the recent trend in sugar prices continues, they’ll get to multi-year lows before long too... anchoring bond yields and with them, the dollar.
