Based in Walnut Creek, California, Central Garden & Pet is a leading producer and marketer of pet, lawn, and garden products in the U.S. The company has grown through acquisitions. In FY21, it acquired four businesses: Hopewell, Green Garden, DoMyOwn, and D&D. The company has two divisions, Pet and Garden. The Pet division manufactures and markets pet supplies. The Garden division supplies grass seeds, wild bird feed, bird feeders, bird houses, herbicides and insecticides, fertilizers, and decorative outdoor products. Founded in 1955, the company has about 7,000 employees.
