$2,000 Stimulus Checks Would be a Mistake: Summers

Dec.25 -- Former U.S. Treasury Secretary Lawrence H. Summers, a Wall Street Week contributor and adviser to Pres.-elect Biden's campaign, says that increasing direct stimulus payments to $2,000 would risk temporarily overheating the economy, because it would not contribute to consumer spending in the sectors that need it.
