AMC has $9.7 billion in debt and operating leases

Yahoo Finance Live’s Brian Sozzi breaks down AMC’s balance sheet.

Video Transcript

BRIAN SOZZI: All right, for all the top work AMC CEO Adam Aron has done to keep the company chugging along and retail investors enthused, there are still some fundamental facts to consider on the movie chain. Here are two stats worth remembering. $9.7 billion is how much debt and operating leases for movie theaters, which acts like debt, AMC has on its balance sheet. And $4.3 billion, that's how much revenue Wall Street sees AMC delivering this year. If hit, it would still be below the 2019 peak of $5 and 1/2 billion.
