Apple announces iPhone 12 with 5G

Apple has out with its first 5G device — the iPhone 12. Yahoo Finance's Zack Guzman breaks down the details.

ZACK GUZMAN: Highlight some more moves we're seeing in Apple shares here, now off by about 1.7% after they announced the iPhone 12. It had been much anticipated here. Just some of the specs, of course, capable of 5G, and that was one of the things a lot of people had been expecting as well, as the CEO of Verizon, our parent company, joined Tim Cook onstage to chat about that.

Overall, it's going to be a lot of the same things you've come to expect in an iPhone here. Color models varying from black, white, red, green, and blue. Interestingly, one model the same screen size as the iPhone 11. Thinner and smaller, lighter, though, than that previous model in the iPhone 11.

There's a super retina XDR display for you iPhone nerds out there. And the cover glass on iPhone 12 will be ceramic shield. A lot of people have been looking into what kind of specs might be there on that front.
