Axon CEO Proposes Solution to One of US's Biggest Problems

The company behind Taser stun guns rebranded in 2017 to become Axon, the name of its body camera product for police officers. Rick Smith is the CEO of Axon, and author Smith’s new book, The End of Killing, which he describes as a “manifesto that says we should not accept that killing people is okay,” was released this month. It combines humankind’s use of weaponry, the psychological impacts on soldiers and police when they kill to argue that America’s military and law enforcement should replace guns with more humane technology. Smith talked to Yahoo Finance's Dan Roberts, Melody Hahm and Myles Udland on "YFi AM" about the book and his prediction that within 10 years, police officers will use energy weapons instead of lethal pistols.
