Biden Says ‘Haven’t Had Occasion to Talk’ to China's Xi

Feb.07 -- President Joe Biden said there was no particular reason why he hadn’t yet spoken with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and promised a different kind of relationship with Beijing from his predecessor. Meanwhile, the U.S. and China’s top diplomats sparred on democracy and human rights in a phone conversation which was the highest level of communications between the two countries since the Biden administration began.
