Borderfree CEO: U.S. Retailers Lining Up to Sells Wares Abroad

TheStreet

Borderfree shares have recovered since the tech market's spring swoon, and the international e-commerce provider continues to add U.S. retailers seeking to sell their goods abroad, says the company's CEO Mike Desimone. Desimone said South Korea is a hot market for retailers because of the country's extensive high speed internet infrastructure and its affinity for Western brands. He added that Borderfree is using the cash from its March IPO to improve its technology, explore acquisitions and attract non-US based retailers. Finally, Desimone said retailers like Marc Jacobs use Borderfree instead of their own in-house technology teams because it offers a simple, turnkey solution.
