China Imposes Hong Kong Security Law

Jun.30 -- Today marks 23 years of Chinese rule in Hong Kong. President Xi Jinping signed a landmark security law for the city to quell dissent. The legislation takes effect and promises secret trials, life imprisonment for some cases of state subversion and terrorism and has been described by the U.S. as draconian.
