'Consumer is key' for this economy, as market volatility continues

Yahoo Finance's Brian Sozzi and Jared Blikre talk to Caleb Silsby, Whittier Trust’s Chief Portfolio Manager and Victoria Fernandez, Crossmark Global Investments Chief Market Strategist around the opening bell Tuesday. Fernandez says, "Consumer is key for this economy, if the consumer can hold up, then I don't think we're going to see a recession anytime soon. If we get retail sales that are not strong this week, if consumer confidence goes down, earnings for Walmart are not strong, then we might see the chances of a recession move a little bit higher."
