Consumer sentiment improves by 6.8% in August as gas prices fall

- What is time now for our chart of the day. And today, we're talking about Americans in higher spirits this month. According to a measure of consumer sentiment released by the Morning Consult and Axios, the consumer sentiment among adults and families earning more than $100,000 improved by 6.8% this month. And households earning less than $50,000 sentiment improved by 4.2%. The report attributes the break. In the so-called bummer summer funk, to falling gas prices, and a stock market rebound. Well, coming up, Goldman Sachs says hedge funds are boosting bets.
