Gillian: Fox News - Please, please, please don't follow the road of misleading the ignorant US citizens any longer. Someone at that network has got to have the guts to stand up and admit your "journalism" is simply propaganda. Someone there has got to want to be a STAR and the most famous journalist in the world and come clean. Do it on air. Do it big. Admit it, you sit around plotting what crazy words you can put in Trumps mouth and he'll spew out without a second to fact check. Do it, come clean and admit to America your "news" is divisive, abusive and downright untruthful and then you can look in the mirror and call yourself a journalist.

A United Nations committee has issued a formal warning to the United States and its president, Donald Trump, over recent racial violence in the country, indicating serious concern that conflicts like the recent one in Charlottesville, Virginia, will spread. The Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) has issued an “early warning,” the first step in its system of measures to prevent tensions from escalating and inform member states of the urgent need to address problems. The statement, though it doesn’t say so explicitly, appears to refer to Trump’s widely criticized response to the violent clashes on Aug. 12 between white-supremacist groups and counter-protesters in Charlottesville.

All major carriers now offer unlimited plans after years of steering people toward paying extra for using more data. Verizon, like its rivals, will start charging more for higher-quality video while hoping to attract cost-conscious customers with a cheaper plan.
The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball lottery is now at $700 million , the second-largest prize in the game's history. On the off chance you hold the winning numbers, you'll want to be smart about how you handle the windfall. After all, the CFP Board of Standards says nearly one-third of lottery winners eventually declare bankruptcy.
Seadrill Ltd (NYSE:SDRL) is hanging by a thread, and SDRL stock is virtually un-ownable here. Because the oil drilling outfit has suspiciously been left out of the modest recovery other energy stocks have cobbled together, and — oh yeah — Seadrill has recently made legal moves that would shield one of its key operating units if the company did file for bankruptcy. There’s a reason SDRL stock is (literally) down more than 99% since its late-2013 peak … a peak that occurred when oil prices were sky high.

Hit three times with the ugly stick, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) gives you plenty of reasons to run for cover. First and foremost, F stock has weak technical momentum. Despite its repulsiveness, I’m worried that those who try to outright short F stock are going to get burned.
Home Depot (HD) and Lowe’s (LOW) have both been beneficiaries of the improving housing market. Home Depot has catered more aggressively to what’s known as the professional customer, which includes remodelers, general contractors and small business owners. In fact, 40% of Home Depot’s sales come from this customer category, which tends to spend more, take more trips to the store and conduct bigger projects.
Now imagine that instead of bundling up in a coat, all you need to do to feel comfortable is dial up the temperature of the base layer you’re wearing, like a heated seat in a car. Researchers from the US Army Natick Soldier Research, Development & Engineering Center are trying to make that scenario a reality. At a conference of the American Chemical Society, Army researchers explained how they’re using a coating of fine silver nanowires on ordinary fabrics, such as cotton or polyester, as a way to potentially keep soldiers warm in extreme cold.

Sloan also said that "within a few weeks" the bank will announce the completion of an expanded review by a third party of the fake consumer accounts workers had opened.

Imagine having a portfolio of stocks that consistently paid dividend yields of more than 5%. That kind of return trounces what most bonds are paying now. And a 5% or greater yield represents over half of the average long-term total return of the S&P 500. The good news is that you don't have to use your imagination. There are quite a few stocks that you can buy right now with dividends yielding more than 5%. Here's why Health Care Property Investors (NYSE:HCP), AT&T (NYSE:T), W. P. Carey (NYSE:WPC), Seagate Technology (NASDAQ:STX), and Omega Healthcare Investors (NYSE:OHI) especially stand out. A Los Angeles jury on Monday ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay a record $417 million to a hospitalized woman who claimed in a lawsuit that the talc in the company's iconic baby powder causes ovarian cancer when applied regularly for feminine hygiene. The verdict in the lawsuit brought by the California woman, Eva Echeverria, marks the largest sum awarded in a series of talcum powder lawsuit verdicts against Johnson & Johnson in courts around the U.S. Echeverria alleged Johnson & Johnson failed to adequately warn consumers about talcum powder's potential cancer risks.
Pratt & Whitney’s $10 billion bet on a new jet engine is faltering after a troubled rollout, and buyers are rushing to a General Electric Co. model instead. The GE turbine has won 10 times as many orders this year to power a narrow-body Airbus SE plane on which the two suppliers compete head to head. Pratt has signed just one buyer in that span to supply its geared turbofan engine for the aircraft, according to data provided to Bloomberg by Flight Ascend Consultancy. The figures paint a stark picture for Pratt and parent United Technologies Corp., which billed the so-called GTF as a technological breakthrough that was supposed to help reverse GE’s recent market dominance. Instead, weak demand
